This will be my first photo challenge and I am very excited. I just asked my two year old what color we should start with and its BROWN. hmmm well. This should be interesting. Glad I found this site.

I’ve never been one to consider late as late. It’s still only 1/12th of the way into 2012! Make sure you add the tag “2012colorchalenge”, so I can find your work. Meghan, maybe a blog post or two, posting your highlights could help. Deviantart doesn’t always show up when I google a tag.

Well January is on the verge of being over but maybe I can jump in anyway? I need something to get me taking more photos and this looks fun. How about I try a beige pic or two tonight to start (and end) the month off and carry on with Orange for February?

Glad to have you join us, Angie! Challenging yourself is one of the best ways to grow as a photographer. Obviously there's a technical side to photography, but once you understand them and the practical side to your tools, the sky is the limit to your creativity and growth. Most of my own personal growth has come from seeking to accomplish what I've seen others accomplish. These personal mini-challenges have probably been where I've grown the most. If you find satisfaction with our 2012 Color Challenge, and want a bit more, go back and try some of our past challenges. For two years we did an every other month challenge, which can be viewed from the menu in the header. But the best list is the daily challenge from 2009! That one has a different challenge for every day of the year!
